Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2025 · Last updated: January 1, 2025

1. Overview

snff, Inc. ("snff," "we," "us," or "our") operates snff.io as a link-in-bio platform that allows creators to share links to external content. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out conduct that is prohibited on snff and applies to all users, creators, and visitors.

Violation of this AUP may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent termination, and/or referral to law enforcement. This AUP supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use snff to host, link to, promote, or facilitate any of the following:

2.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Minor-Protective Rules

  • Any sexual content depicting, describing, or simulating minors (persons under 18).
  • Links to platforms that host, sell, or distribute CSAM in any form.
  • Content that sexually solicits, grooms, or exploits minors.
  • Age-restricted content on profiles that are accessible to or targeted at minors.

CSAM violations will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and to relevant law enforcement agencies without prior notice to the user.

2.2 Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII)

  • Posting, linking to, or promoting intimate images or videos of any person without their documented, informed, ongoing consent.
  • Content commonly referred to as "revenge porn," "non-consensual pornography," or NCII.
  • Threats to distribute intimate images of another person.
  • Content produced or distributed without verifiable proof of age and consent for all persons depicted.

NCII is illegal in the majority of U.S. states and many international jurisdictions. We work with the StopNCII hash-matching program. If you are a victim of NCII, please contact us at safety@snff.io for expedited removal under our emergency takedown procedure.

2.3 Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation

  • Advertising, soliciting, or facilitating sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Recruiting, transporting, or harboring persons for forced labour or sexual servitude.
  • Links to escort-booking services, illicit massage operations, or similar commercial sex facilitation.

2.4 Illegal Content

  • Content that violates any applicable federal, state, or local law.
  • Links to marketplaces for illegal goods or services (drugs, weapons, stolen data, counterfeit goods).
  • Content that constitutes fraud, identity theft, or phishing.
  • Malware, spyware, or any code designed to harm users' devices or data.

2.5 Harassment, Threats, and Hateful Conduct

  • Content that threatens, harasses, or incites violence against any individual or group.
  • Doxxing: publishing private personal information (home address, phone number, financial details) of another person without consent.
  • Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics.

2.6 Spam, Scams, and Deceptive Practices

  • Automated account creation or link-clicking.
  • Misleading content designed to deceive visitors about the nature or origin of linked content.
  • Impersonating any person, brand, or entity without clear disclosure.
  • Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing solicitation, or fraudulent investment offers.

3. Content Standards for Adult Material

snff permits creators on adult content platforms to use snff as a link aggregator, subject to the following conditions:

  • All persons depicted in linked content must be adults (18+) with documented consent.
  • Profiles linking to adult platforms must not describe, depict, or solicit minors.
  • Creators are solely responsible for ensuring that all content they link to complies with applicable law, including 18 U.S.C. § 2257 record-keeping requirements.
  • snff does not host adult content; we only link to external platforms that operate under their own content policies.

4. Operator Responsibility

snff is a passive conduit and link aggregator. We do not pre-screen, curate, or endorse the content hosted on third-party platforms that users link to. Our safe harbor protections under 47 U.S.C. § 230 and 17 U.S.C. § 512 (DMCA) apply to third-party content hosted elsewhere, not to content hosted directly on snff.io servers.

However, snff reserves the right — and the obligation — to act on violations of this AUP promptly upon notice, including removing links, suspending profiles, terminating accounts, and cooperating with law enforcement.

5. Reporting Violations

If you encounter a snff profile or link that you believe violates this AUP, please use one of the following channels:

  • Report button: tap the flag icon on any public snff profile page.
  • Email: safety@snff.io — include the snff.io URL, the nature of the violation, and any supporting evidence.
  • DMCA copyright notices: legal@snff.io — see our Terms of Service §7 for the required notice elements.
  • Law enforcement: submit a legal process request to legal@snff.io.

We aim to review all reports within 24 hours. Reports of CSAM or active threats of violence will be escalated immediately.

6. Enforcement and Account Disabling

snff may take the following actions in response to AUP violations, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Remove or disable individual links.
  • Add a warning label to a profile.
  • Temporarily suspend an account (page becomes inaccessible to visitors).
  • Permanently terminate an account and delete associated data.
  • Preserve account data and provide it to law enforcement pursuant to a lawful request.
  • Refer the matter to NCMEC, the FBI, or other law enforcement agencies.

Users may appeal enforcement actions by emailing appeals@snff.io within 30 days. We will review appeals within 10 business days.

Users may also self-disable their own profile at any time from their dashboard settings. Self-disabled profiles are not visible to the public but data is retained for 90 days before deletion.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email and/or by a prominent notice on the dashboard. Continued use of snff following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
